About Me

About Me

I grew up in Southern California, split between Pasadena and Manhattan Beach, and living the contradictory life of nerd and surfer chick. Like most writers, my background has been motley. I spent my “formative years” being educated at Harvard, but in my 20s, I ditched the job world to pursue a PhD in English and American Lit at UC Santa Barbara, where I combined reading/writing/thinking great thoughts with a whole lot of biking and playing with the man I love.

My taste in Lit goes runs the gamut from Shakespeare and Poe to Elizabeth Lowell and Jo Nesbo. Though I love reading dark and tormented stories that investigate the inner demons of tortured souls, I prefer to write lighter books that my readers can have fun with.

The years in Santa Barbara were unforgettable and that’s why I’m enjoying the Cota Club Series and writing about the five girlfriends as they figure out who they are and who they love. To stay true to their characters, each book fits the genre most suitable for each girl. That’s why The Offering is romantic suspense and Love and Money is a murder mystery.
